Furnishing Your Loft
Your newly fitted loft will transform your house and your life, but there are a few steps to you can take to ensure a smoother fitting and that you get exactly what you’re dreaming of:
1. Don’t be pressured into signing a contract. Many of the bigger high street stores depend on volume and their sales people depend on the commission earned to make a living. A well known technique is to pitch the price on the high side and then offer to cut the price if you sign within a specific time. The same goes for so called sales. Although this can be tempting, it is all too easy to get swept along and then find the finished result is something of a compromise and not really what you wanted.
2. Make sure the finished price is confirmed and there are no hidden extras.
3. Don’t settle for what suits the company fitting the furniture over your own preferences. Sounds obvious, but you’d be surprised how many customers will accept substitute doors, for example, that aren’t currently available.
